Vicki Lynn Hollister

West Clarksville, NY - Vicki Lynn Hollister, 51, of 2633 Higby Road died unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at Olean General Hospital. She was born February 9, 1959 in Wellsville the daughter of the late David and Josephine (Pettinato) Hollister. She was a 1977 graduate of Belmont High School, had attended Alfred State College and was currently enrolled at Southern University of Georgia. She was a jack of all trades, most recently, a candle maker at Northern Lights Candles in Wellsville. She also had been employed as a home health aide, waitress and florist.

Vicki was a member of the Wellsville Full Gospel Church, the Herbert Delong American Legion Post 808 Auxiliary and the Western New York Emmaus Community. She was an avid bowler and was a former pitcher for the Wellsville Women's Softball League. She enjoyed hiking, camping, fishing, swimming and cake decorating. On several occasions, she donated to Locks of Love to help children in need and was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother.
She is survived by four children, Christal Lynn Parks, Bridget Jo Burdick and Jeffrey Dane Hollister all of Cuba and Michelle Lee Cain of West Clarksville, six grandchildren, Caleb Anthony Logue, Tyson Christopher Logue, Danny Warren Logue, Aliyah Genevieve Logue, Savion Dane Schaffer and Lanson Arlo Skinner, five sisters, Margie (John) Dunford of Belmont, Donna Hollister of Costa Mesa, CA, Nancy Ruhl of Wellsville, Judy (Raymond) Hoberg of Belmont and Kathy (Daniel) Allen of West Clarksville, her former husband and close friend, Dean Robert Perry of Wellsville as well as several nieces & nephews. She was predeceased a brother, David Hollister Jr. and a sister, Deborah Lee Hollister.
Friends are invited to call on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the J. W. Embser Sons Funeral Home Inc. 17 Schuyler Street in Belmont. The funeral will be Saturday, February 27, 2010 at 1:00 pm in the funeral home with Rev. Ron Sellers presiding. Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery in Belmont. Memorial donations are suggested to the American Red Cross of Southwestern New York, the American Cancer Society or to any charity of the donor's choice.
